Awarded a grant to independently execute a travel/research project on tourism in New York City, which focused on Ground Zero during the summer of 2009 under the guidance of Professor Ezra Capell, Associate Professor of English and Director of the Inter-American Jewish Studies Program. The final written essay was part of my senior thesis and nominated to participate in the UTEP Student Literature Conference.
